Have you ever grown tobacco?

I have not grown tobacco myself, my parents have also never grown tobacco but my grandparents used to grow tobacco. They were farmers and they used to employ a lot of farm laborers from time to time, and most of these laborers liked to chew tobacco. Therefore, my grandparents used to grow tobacco for their farm laborers.

For a long time I had a couple of tobacco plants in pots.
More for fun than anything.
But I did try my curing and then rolling them into cigars once.
I discovered that was not a career that I would be good at. 😁

I played with the idea, but after watching one of our doxies tear into a bag of Levi Garret leaf tobacco and eat some then getting sick all over the floor then wanting more I decided to not tempt fate.

Nope, I haven't tried growing tobacco before because it's not part of what interests me to do. But I did managed to grow some Cannabis strain in some of my plants pot at home.

Blueberry Auto, Critical Kush and Sweet Tooth are the strains I've managed to grow.

Doing that here in Texas will get you a visit by your local constabulary (or their task force) usually.
We have way to many of the religious right here to ever get it decriminalized.

Texas is quite strict for so many things. My cousin who's living in Massachusetts can grow at least 6 different Cannabis strains without looking over his shoulders.

Oh, you can do it here... but you will probably definitely get a crick in your neck.
The bible thumpers have gotten so bad here lately that now they are working on restricting the cannabis allowances that they were forced to permit even further. I do foresee a point where people are going to get fed up with them and then they will be doing even more to try to keep power.
